The EGU 2017 General Assembly is the largest geosciences meeting in Europe and brings together thousands of geoscientists from all over the world. Covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences, it provides an opportunity for journalists and science writers to talk to researchers, learn about new developments and find out about the latest discoveries in a variety of areas, such as climate, space and planetary science missions, natural disasters, and seafloor exploration.

The 40th CETAF General Meeting will take place on the 18th-19th October 2016 at the Royal Botanic Garden in Madrid, Spain.
Topics that will be discussed are, among others, related to the launching of the new BIOTALENT project, as a European collaboration with four other partners, and a workshop on e-publishing and e-publications.
The CETAF 40 General Assembly will be followed by the 20th Anniversary of CETAF on 20 October 2016.
Belgian Women in Science, also known as BeWise, organises its Annual General Meeting early this May. All members and supporters are kindly invited to take part. The event will take place at the Royal Institute for Natural Science in Brussels.

The Consortium of European Taxonomic Facilities is preparing its Next General Assembly that will take place on 21-22 April 2015. The Botanic Garden Meise (Belgium) is the CETAF Member that will host this Meeting where 57 scientific research centres from 20 European countries will meet to debate on the strategic approach for addressing the new challenges that affect research on taxonomy and systematic biology, and also to work on the new projects and activities that will be carried out in the coming future, under the umbrella of this unique network of collections-based institutions.
